Rome Pics

Hey all,

Just got back to Germany after 2 full days of Rome, it was pretty sweet! Did the usual touristy stuff, Colosseum, Vatican, Sistine Chapel and alot of walking around. Met some great people where I was staying as well.

As far as pictures goes it was much easier to take them and put them on a ipod/iphone/ipad app called “instagram”, which is free, so if you download it you can search for my name mtdskeleton and follow me to see all the pictures.

Later I will upload some videos but the wifi here is very slow and it may not work.

until next time- Mike

Successful flight

Hey All,

Well after a long and not very sleep filled flight I am now sitting in the B and B we booked near Innsbruk, Austria. The drive was amazing as usual and we start sliding tomorrow! Took a few pics along the way but they don’t come very close to the actual beauty. I will try to get a video update once we get to the track.

Hey all,

Well I leave tomorrow for the start of the second half of the season in Europe! I fly into Munich on the 1st and the drive to Innsbruk Austria for 6 days, then Altenberg Germany for 2 weeks, then a quick 4 day visit to Winterberg Germany. In total I will be spending 24 days in Austria and Germany competing in 5 races to round out the 2012/13 season.

After all this I decided to treat myself to a little vacation to Ireland! I will be flying into Dublin and hanging out there for 4 days before returning home Jan 28th.

If you know of anything great to do in any of those places let me know!

Bronze medal!

Hey All,

Well the first half of the season is already done and boy did it end well! after some tough races in Canada I was excited to return to the USA and a familiar track. During our first race in Park City UT I made one costly mistake that took me from 5th in the middle of the run to 15th at the end! I ended up moving into 13th after the second run but I knew I could do better.

The second day we were struck be a major snowstorm where they almost cancelled the race twice! After my first run I was tied for 10th, but only .3 seconds away from a top 4 finish. After pushing the fastest start time I relaxed on my sled and guided it down the track in the fastest time of the second heat. The snow was still coming down hard while I waited, but it seemed that no one could match my time. I was all the way up to 5th position when we started to head to the top, and once I got there I was in 3rd and the race was over!

It was a very exciting time and now I look forward to competing in Europe for my final 5 races of the season! Thanks for all the support again and happy holidays

Video from Whistler, BC

Hey all,

Well got my first race done with at the 2010 Olympic track in Whistler, BC. I had a difficult time all week trying to figure out this very difficult and technical track. My first run yesterday was good in comparison to my others from the week, I slid 3/4 of a second faster than ever but the field was very talented and was in 16th. Then after a hit on the wall right away on my second run I dropped down 2 spots. Hopefully I can put together 2 consistent runs today and then off to Park City, UT.

On a good note I did have the fastest push times on both heats so recovery/training is going real well! Check it out at
